The many ways to sleep

Liam is not the best sleeper, but he is working on it! For a while he was a great sleeper! He would sleep from 1am to 11 am, but once I started back to work that was not so ideal. Since we are working on sleeping earlier and getting up earlier, he has forgotten how to sleep long stretches. He now wakes up about every three hours, which hopefully will change soon!!

As with all babies, I am sure, he has some strange sleeping positions and locations, so I thought I would share a few.

Last week I "accidentally" fell asleep on our bed with Liam right next to me while trying to get him to sleep. Turns out he likes sleeping on our bed - with our supervision of course!

When we first started putting him in his crib until very recently, he would give us this look when we put him in there, which was "Mom, where am I supposed to put my feet" Since he had acid reflux we had him sleeping in this Fisher Price Rock and Play "crib" where he sort of sat in it. So we discovered if we put a Boppy under him, he had a place for his feet - again of course with adult supervision!

One of his favorite places to sleep is on my lap, after I feed him. Isn't he so cute and peaceful!

Often times when he does sleep in his crib he ends up squished to the side with one or more body part hanging out of the crib. It does not look too comfortable, but he does not seem to mind, until he wakes up!

And finally we have the fabulous Fisher Price Rock and Play! It sits right next to our bed and it keeps him all comfy and warm! He loves it. We want to get him transitioned out of it, so he is not 5 sleeping in this thing next to our bed! We probably won't make it that long since I think the weight limit is 25 pounds... but we are still working on it.

I was also sad to discover that he can hold his own bottle. I never give him a bottle, but Casey started one while I was gone over the weekend and I went to finish feeding it to Liam. I let go for a bit and he just kept holding on. Casey informed me that he had be doing that for a while. My little baby is growing up!!!
